Based in Edinburgh, albeit with frequent stints in Germany, Annie Rutherford makes things with words, and champions poetry and translated literature in all its guises. Annie works as programme co-ordinator for StAnza, Scotland’s international poetry festival, and as a writer and translator. Her translation of German poet Nora Gomringer’s work, Hydra’s Heads, is now available from Burning Eye Books. She co-founded the literary magazine Far Off Places and Göttingen’s Poetree festival. In her spare time, she’s the sidekick to a literary vigilante and she can spot a misplaced apostrophe at a distance of 50 yards.
