Based in Edinburgh, albeit with frequent stints in Germany, Annie Rutherford makes things with words and champions poetry and translated literature in all its guises. She works as Programme Co-ordinator for StAnza, Scotland’s international poetry festival, and as a writer and translator. Her translation of German poet Nora Gomringer’s work, Hydra’s Heads, is now available from Burning Eye Books. Annie co-founded the literary magazine Far Off Places and Göttingen’s Poetree festival and is currently the fictions editor for The Interpreter’s House. She can spot a misplaced apostrophe at a distance of 50 meters.
